Statement of Beliefs

Christian Ambassadors is a non-de≠nominational Christian ministry. The following is a statement of our basic beliefs, as approved by the governing board of directors. While these state≠ments introduce the beliefs guiding CAís ministry, they do not constitute a required article of faith that inmates or their families must sub≠scribe to in order to receive ministry through CA. They do however provide an indication as to the type of ministry one would expect to receive through CAís spiritual growth ministry.

We believe in a supreme being, GOD, who is the creator and sus≠tainer of all that is good and true, whose kingdom is eternal, having no beginning or end (Isaiah 40:28, Revelation 1:8).

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who came into this world so that all who be≠lieve in him shall have eternal life (John 3:16).

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the comforter, who was sent by Jesus Christ after His resurrection, to work in the lives of people, opening their hearts to God and leading them in faith to Jesus Christ (John 14:16-17).

We acknowledge the existence of an evil being, the devil or Satan, who works in opposition to all that is good and true in the world, and we are to oppose all that Satan stands for (Matthew 4: 1-11, 1 Peter 5:8-9).

We acknowledge that there are dif≠ferent theological beliefs about the physical and spiritual nature of the Godhead and the Kingdom, but that eventually we will all have the opportunity to see clearly (1 Corinthians 13:9-12).

We believe the Bible, in its various translations and versions, contains the inspired word of God, providing the basis for understanding the na≠ture of God and His purposes for creation (2 Timothy 3:15-17, Proverbs 4:20-23).

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to testify and inspire men and women to believe in God, to respond to Godís will, and to witness to others of Godís love (1 Corinthians 12:8-11, Acts 1:8).

We believe God calls all people to live their lives in accordance with His teachings, but that God also grants each person the stewardship responsibility and agency to choose the path they will follow for good or evil (Genesis 1:26, Deuteronomy 30:19-20).

We believe in eternal life and the judgment of God; that we must re≠spond during this lifetime, in faith, to the ministry of Jesus Christ to re≠ceive Godís eternal rewards (Matthew 25:31-34, John 14:2-3, 1 Corinthians 15:35-41).

We acknowledge that there are di≠versity of beliefs held by the vari≠ous churches and denominations of the world. We declare peace and support for all who seek to follow Jesus Christ, and we oppose Satan and the evil he represents.
