Statement of Beliefs

Christian Ambassadors is a non-denominational Christian ministry. The following is a statement of our basic beliefs, as approved by the governing board of directors. While these statements provide an introduction to the beliefs guiding CA's ministry, they do not constitute a required article of faith that inmates or their families must subscribe to in order to receive ministry through CA. They do however provide an indication as to the type of ministry one would expect to receive through CA's spiritual growth counseling.

· We believe in a supreme being, GOD, who is the creator and sustainer of all that is good and true, whose kingdom is eternal, having no beginning or end (Isaiah 40:28, Revelation 1:8).

· We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, who came into this world so that all who believe in him shall have eternal life (John 3:16).

· We believe in the Holy Spirit, the comforter, who was sent by Jesus Christ after His resurrection, to work in the lives of people, opening their hearts to God and leading them in faith to Jesus Christ (John 14:16-17).

· We acknowledge the existence of an evil being, the devil or satan, who works in opposition to all that is good and true in the world, and we are to oppose all that satan stands for (Matthew 4: 1-11, 1 Peter 5:8-9).

· We acknowledge that there are different theological beliefs about the physical and spiritual nature of the God-head and the Kingdom, but that eventually we will all have the opportunity to see clearly (1 Corinthians 13:9-12).

· We believe the Bible, in its various translations and versions, contains the inspired word of God, providing the basis for understanding the nature of God and His purposes for creation (2 Timothy 3:15-17, Proverbs 4:20-23).

· We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to testify and inspire men and women to believe in God, to respond to God's will, and to witness to others of God's love (1 Corinthians 12:8-11, Acts 1:8).

· We believe God calls all people to live their lives in accordance with His teachings, but that God also grants each person the stewardship responsibility and agency to choose the path they will follow for good or evil (Genesis 1:26, Deuteronomy 30:19-20).

· We believe in eternal life and the judgment of God; that we must respond during this lifetime, in faith, to the ministry of Jesus Christ to receive God's eternal rewards (Matthew 25:31-34, John 14:2-3, 1 Corinthians 15:35-41).

· We acknowledge that there are diversity of beliefs held by the various churches and denominations of the world, and though we do not believe these differences are pleasing to God, we declare peace and support for all who seek to follow the will of the one true God. We are only in opposition to Satan and the evil he represents.
